Can’d Aid And CANarchy Brewery Collective Ship 20 Pallets of Water to Fire-Ravaged L.A.

November 15, 2018

Local L.A. Brewery Three Weavers Offers Additional Support

Longmont, CO, November 14, 2018 — The Can’d Aid Foundation, in partnership with CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective and Ball Corporation, announced that 48,000 cans of drinking water are en route to Los Angeles County to support fire fighting efforts.

Devastating fires in both Northern and Southern California have caused more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes statewide, the majority of whom reside in Los Angeles County. Firefighters are battling intense Santa Ana winds, which are predicted to bring gusts up to 55 MPH this week. Can’d Aid’s disaster relief water will go directly into hydration packs used by Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters.

“We’re hard-wired to jump in and help where we can, and we are fortunate to have partners like CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective to help us respond as quickly as possible,” said Diana Ralston, Executive Director of Can’d Aid.

Three Weavers Brewing Company, who recently joined the CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective, recently participated in fundraising efforts supporting Can’d Aid’s water program and is setting up additional efforts to support local fire-related initiatives.

“The Woolsey fire has hit us pretty close to home. Some of our friends and families have been displaced, evacuated and some have unfortunately lost their homes. We are all thankful for the firefighters who are risking their lives to save others as well as defending our homes. I can’t express enough gratitude to our CANarchy family and Can’d Aid for their immediate response to our community’s need,” said Lynne Weaver, Founder and President of Three Weavers Brewing Company.

Over the past three years, Can’d Aid has donated 1.5 million cans of water to communities in need post disaster. To support their on-going water program with a donation, please visit www.candaid.org.
