Tox’s Barrel-Aged Balls – A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Type of Dessert Voyage
1 package of Nilla wafers
1 cup-ish of pecans (toasted if you’re into that kind of thing)
3/4 cup-ish of powdered sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
Crush / blend / mix all that shit together.
*You will also need some corn syrup and a stovepipe can of either Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY Imperial Stout or Rum Barrel-Aged Death by Coconut Irish Porter.
Depending on what kinda balls you’re into, follow the appropriate adventure below:
For Tox’s FIDY Balls ‘o’ Bourbon
Stir ½ cup of Oskar Blues’ Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY with 2 ½ tablespoons corn syrup.
Combine with dry ingredients from above and mix together real good – consistency should be pretty hard to work with
Drink most of the BA Ten FIDY
Pinch off a small amount of the dough and roll it around in your hands to form a ball
Drop into a small bowl of powdered sugar, swirl around until well-coated
Repeat until you have many powdery balls
Refrigerate balls, drink BA FIDY, and try not to eat all balls until a few have been shared
If you have any of the FIDY left, drink it – if not, open another, and try not to make too many significant life decisions
For Tox’s Rum By Coconut Death Balls:
Stir ½ cup of Oskar Blues’ Rum Barrel-Aged Death By Coconut with 2 ½ tablespoons of corn syrup
Combine with dry ingredients from above and mix together real good – consistency should be pretty hard to work with
Suck back a bunch of the rummy, barrel-aged can o’ deliciousness
Pinch off a small amount of the dough and roll it around in your hands to form a ball
Drop ball into a small container of powdered sugar and toss, swirl, or whatever it is you feel the need to do to powder the dough thoroughly
Repeat until you have many powdered balls
Refrigerate balls, drink whatever’s left and post pics about yourself to social media
Eat balls whenever you want but they’re better cold if you have any kind of self-control
