We’re stoked to be a part of the Denver Independent Comics & Art Expo (DiNK) in support of the alternative arts scene in Denver. As the creators of the Original Craft Beer in a Can, we really dig the originality, creativity and innovation that the 2018 exhibitors bring to the table.
Maybe unsurprisingly, a beer can is our preferred CANvas – In 2017, illustrator McBess helped us celebrate the 15th anniversary of Dale’s Pale Ale with a 4-part 16oz cartoon’d can design that told the story of Oskar Blues – from our origins in funky little Lyons, CO, to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Brevard, NC, and all the way to music mecca, Austin, TX.
OBB Events at DiNK
Saturday, April 14th from 3-4pm: We’re hosting a can art workshop, where two of our OG graphics dudes will help you design labels for re-sealable 32oz Crowler cans. We’ll provide labels, art supplies, and a Crowler can for you to keep. Head to the Creative Programming Space a few minutes before 3pm to grab a spot – limited to the first 35 people.
Sunday, April 15th from 12-2pm: We’re running a Graffiti tour of Denver on our trusty Mcbess’d-out Dale’s Pale Ale trolley led by local tattoo artist, Chris J’tot. Peep some of Denver’s urban masterpieces from the comfort of the trolley, have a beer at our CHUBurger RiNo restaurant, and the trolley will take you back to the expo. This excursion is limited to 30 people, so sign up at the box office now.
OBB Liquids at DiNK
In our experience, being creative works up a helluva thirst, so look out for Oskar Blues beers, Hotbox Roasters’ coffee, B.Stiff & Sons Soda Pop, and MOSKow Mules around the expo.
