The Lyons Outdoor Games, put on by Human Movement Management and the Town of Lyons, was created 12‐years ago as a fund-raising vehicle for the Lyons Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Events. The event has evolved from an excuse for paddling buddies from around the country to come together for a day of play in the famed Lyons Whitewater Park, into a world‐class celebration of mountain sports. In addition to a full compliment of kayaking, biking, fly fishing and even dog events, the 2013 Games will feature numerous clinics and exhibitions put on by some of the world’s most elite professional athletes. Look for these as well as several exciting new events that are in the works for 2013. With such a myriad of activities, the 2013 Lyons Outdoor Games promises to be the best event yet!
Last year, LOG teamed up with Oskar Blues to bring Burning CAN to the mix, a beer festival with 30 canning craft breweries from around the country that takes place during the LOG BMX Dirt Jumping competition on Saturday. This year, we’re bringing Burning CAN back to LOG, and stepped it up one more notch with a FREE Dumpstaphunk concert on Friday night.
Make it a Colorado weekend getaway – hit up the concert Friday night, beer fest Saturday, check out the outdoor games throughout, and camp out in beautiful Lyons! Or, take advantage of the free Boulder-Lyons summer shuttle and free Oskar Blues Longmont-Lyons trolley; both will be running regularly all weekend long.
5/31 – FREE! Dumpstaphunk Show, Bohn Park, 6-11pm
6/1 – Burning CAN Beer Fest, Bohn Park, 4-7pm
