    AMERICAN HOME BREWERS ASSOCIATION RALLY
    March 10th 1-4pm

If it weren’t for Charlie Papazian and his efforts as homebrewing pioneer and founder of the American Homebrewers Association (AHA), we wouldn’t be here.

On March 10, from 1-4 PM, we’re doing our part for the homebrewing community by hosting a membership rally for the AHA, which is headquartered in Boulder.

Rally attendees will enjoy tours of our brewery and microcannery, a light meal, great beer, discounts on OBB beer and gear, and gallons of beer-blessed fellowship.

Best of all, the $33 entry fee gets you a year’s membership in the AHA and all the beery benefits that come with it. Already an AHA member? The fee gets you an additional year’s membership.

The event starts at 1 PM on March 10, see you there. Get more details on the AHA, homebrewing and craft beer at www.beertown.org.

He has developed into his act with a style that is all his own.

We had such a great time last month and hosted a full house. Come early and enjoy some great food before the show and save your seat.

Music schedule increases in March, Thursday nights return with a Bluegrass theme and Sunday nights are revived with an acoustic based Honky-Tonk flavor.

March starts off on Thursday the 1st with our new Bluegrass theme. There are so many great local groups that play Bluegrass around here that we thought we would feature Bluegrass on Thursdays.

Starting off with White Water Ramble www.whitew aterramble.com this great band is based in Fort Collins and will be having a DVD release party on the 1st. They call their music High-Octane Rocky Mountain Dancegrass.

The 8th will be Big Mountain Bluegrass Co. four local guys who have put together a great bluegrass band consisting of guitar, bass, fiddle and mandolin. htt p://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm? fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=157242669

On the 15th will be Spring Creek Bluegrass band most of which live here in Lyons they describe their music as Rural & Cosmic and feature banjo and mandolin. http://spri ngcreekbluegrassband.com

Sundays start with Local rockers Interstate Stash Express on the 4th led by Terry Kishiyama Oskar's graphic artist and Ali's husband. They pleasantly surprised us all last time with their great original tunes. Terry says they will have some honky tonk sounds also.

    Weekend Music

Amy Speace & the Tearjerks come all the way from New York City to bring her great original tunes that have won her many awards lately, like emerging artist of 2007 from the Folk Alliance. She and her four piece band will hold court at Oskar's Friday the 2nd.

The Johhny O Band are back for a night of rockin' Blues on the 3rd.

Next Friday the 9th features Sarah Benck & the Robbers, she is a great singer, songwriter and when she straps on that guitar, Supergirl appears and rips it up, be there.

The nationally acclaimed, Indulgers appear Saturday night the 10th, if you caught their first show at Oskar you know that this group truly is much more than your typical Irish Band (they kick ass). It will be an early Celebration for St. Patrick. A very special show (Your Blueologist's pick of the month)

Clay McClinton's Blues Band is here for his first time on Friday the 16th. Yes he is Delbert's son and sounds a little like him but is a true force on his own. A great singer, guitarist and especially a wonderful songwriter. They are a true blues band that introduces "alternative country" to "contemporary blues" do not miss this show you will be knocked out by this young man.

Saturday St. Patty's day we have a special Irish night planned with a local group called Parting Glass who feature a fiddle player and have lots of traditional and contemporary Irish tunes in store "Erin go Bragh".

Friday March 23rd brings back a real bluesman Maynard Mills from Gary Indiana, Maynard and the band play everything from funky danceable tunes to solo dobro playing from the Delta Masters.

Saturday the 24th we have Mark & Patty Puzo's friends Serious Bizness & the Lodo horns - talking about dancing- this is the band for you. Great horn section will keep things jumpin' all night long.

The last weekend of March showcases two women first one of the country's hottest guitarist Kelly Richey from Cinninati who will kill you with her tone and slashing ability. This is Kelly's first appearance at Oskar's and believe me if you like rockin' blues guitar this is a show not to miss. She is hot!!.

Then Laura Newman Denver's best Sax player comes in with AOA featuring the wonderful vocals of Creighton Holly.

Wow what a month of music!
