years back by Guitar One Magazine. The 2nd Saturday brings us Delores Scott’s Colorado All-stars.
Delores is a great entertainer from Chicago who has appeared on
over 80 recordings throughout her career. Sunday the 3rd we have The Blue Mountain Ranch Hands a
mostly Lyons group with Zeke and Janie Little and Nancy Thorwardson
leading this fine six piece band that does a lot of vintage and new
western music. They have great harmonies and are a perfect early Sunday
evening show. Tuesday the 5th at 7pm we host the Lyons High School jazz
band, come on over and support our kids. The 6th Wednesday we have our
new local’s night with Steamboat Zephyr and Off The Tracks two fine
local Lyons groups from 7-10pm. Pokey Lafarge will
be here Thursday the 7th with his four piece acoustic band. Pokey plays
what he calls Riverboat Soul music His influence is deeply rooted in
the heroes and misfits of yesterday. Tad Robinson is
back from Chicago, he has one of the richest and most powerful voices
in Soul and Blues music. If you think genuine soul music is not being
created today, just take a listen to his latest CD “A New Point of
View.”

Rocky
Mountain Bakehouse and Colorado's Oskar Blues Brewery have created a
tag-team masterpiece that blends the planet's most revered fermented
foods: Beer & Bread. Each loaf of Old Chub Beer Bread contains
nearly a whole can of the world’s best Scottish ale, Oskar Blues' Old
Chub. We could have stopped there, but no! This dual-artisan gem also
sports a wheaty sourdough base, a touch of honey and a heaping handful
of organic sunflower seeds. Before it hits the oven, each loaf is
lovingly rolled in Old Chubs’ Beech wood-smoked malted barley and then
baked to wonderful, golden perfection. These handmade implausible
pieces of baked goodness are available at all Wholefoods stores in
Colorado, New Mexico & Kansas.
Take home a loaf and Chub the one you're with!
