Weekend Music

Friday the seventh will be a special show featuring Corrine West www.corrinewest. com from the west coast. Corrine is drop-dead gorgeous and a great songwriter with a voice that will leave you wondering why you don't know more about her. Troy Schoenfelder and Jason Dilge will open up for her, it's going to be a big night with lots of bluegrass, old time country and drinking songs.

Saturday the 8th Chris Daniels and the Kings www.chrisdaniels .com are back with their fun material and dancing music with their big seven-piece R& B/ blues sound. Lots of Little Feat, Motown and boogie music.

Buckskin Stallion www.buckskinstallionmusic.org will bring their version of alt-country on Friday the 14th. Lots of original tunes from Troy Schoenfelder and the boys with plenty old style country and great pickin'.

Saturday the 15th is a guy I have been trying to get to Oskar's for years ever since I heard him sing. Tad Robinson www.tadrobinson.com has been nominated for two Blues Music Awards this year, Soul/Blues album of the year and Soul/ Blues Male artist of the year. You may have never heard of him but believe me you will never forget his voice, be there. This is my absolute favorite show this month.

Friday the 21st is another great show with guitar wizard Chris Duarte ww w.chrisduarte.com from Texas. One of the hottest guitar players in the country, he will smoke the place with his Blues/rock guitar. Some say he is comparable to Stevie Ray Vaughn.

The 22nd will be The Randall Dubis band www.randalldubi s.com a local blues outfit. Randall has toured the country with lap-steel great Sonny Rhodes and sat in with the late great Son Seals a number of times when Son came to Denver.

Friday the 28th we will have the Spring Creek Bluegrass Band ww w.springcreekbluegrassband.com form right here in Lyons. It will be a CD release party for their sophomore CD "Lonesome Way To Go". Come on over get yourself this great CD and hear some outstanding bluegrass.

Mary Russell www.maryjo nesrussell.com & her top-notch county band will be playing on Saturday the 29th joined by Mike Schikora www.m yspace.com/mikeschikora for a rowdy night of old time country and original songs by these two fine vocalists.

Sunday Music

Sundays this month start on the 2nd with The Loose Cannon bluegrass band www.l oosecannonbluegrass.com a great bluegrass band from Denver that feature great harmony vocals and fine musicianship.

The 9th will feature Lyons own Blue Mountain Ranch Hands www.nancyt horwardson.com/ionagibsonmusic/Bluemountain ranchhands.html with Zeke and Jani Little and Nancy Thorwardson sharing lead and harmony vocals on great ole timey music and Western Swing.

Sunday the 16 will be Oskar's favorite honky- tonk band Halden Wofford & the Hi-Beams www.hibea ms.com with their zany approach to great honky- tonk and old country with some Bob Dylan thrown in. Always a big party come and have some fun.

Dana Kyle Stokes www.danakyles tokes.net and his country band will play Oskar's on the 23rd. Lots of your favorite outlaw country music from Willie, Waylon and the boys with great steel- pedal to top it off.

Dikki- Du & the Zydeco Krewe www.dikkidu.com will bring their hopping Zydeco dance music to the place Sunday March 30th. Come on over and get your Zydeco fix, we haven't seen these guys in a while it is always a fun day when they play. Et Tois!!

Weekday Music

As always don't forget our world famous Tuesday night Bluegrass happening with the biggest and best pick in Boulder County hosted by K. C. Groves and Eric Thorin.

We also have an acoustic plug-in jam the second Monday of the month, which will be the 10th this month. Come on over and play some acoustic blues and grab a Dale's while you are there.

St. Patty's Day will be Monday the 17th and we will have Dana Kyle O' Stokes playing solo for your listening and drinking pleasure, stop by from 7-10pm and hear some of his best country Irish tunes and guzzle a bear in true Irish fashion.

Then on Monday the 24th starting at 7:00pm we will have the Niwot High School Jazz 1 band for a rip- roaring night of Jazz from these hard working kids from Niwot come on over and support the children.

Thursdays this month will see Mumbouli www.mumbouli.co m from Boulder on the 6th. They play bluegrass, blues and jam music all energetically; they call it Rock Americana come and check them out.

The 13th will have The Lyons Road Agents with K. C. Groves and Caleb Roberts. They will have other special touring agents with them and is sure to be a great night of bluegrass music.

The Boulder Acoustic Society www.bo ulderacousticsociety.net are here Thursday the 20th, these guys are a gas they all come from different musical backgrounds which makes their music very diverse. It is American roots music with the edge of punk rock and the grace of chamber music.

Dehlia Low www.mysp ace.com/dehlialow a bluegrass band from North Carolina will play on Thursday the 27th and will feature ex-Lyonite Bryan Clendenin on mandolin that used to play with the Stanleytones and has moved to Ashville. Welcome Bryan back home and hear his outstanding new bluegrass band.
