Greetings!
Tasty Award!
We're happy to report that Oskar Blues has made the A-list of top
brewpubs and beer halls in the 2007 Rocky Mountain News Dining Guide.
The News' dining critic, the mighty John Lehndorff, had these great
things to say about our place: "If this place keeps winning awards and
garnering national press, the great little pub club at the mouth of the
mountains might get overrun by trendy types. For now, it's our private
escape where we can tuck into blackened scallops or the celebrated
Heatseeker Pizza and one of the establishment's hopped-up, malt-infused
coolers. Our current fave is the smooth One Nut Brown Ale, on tap only
at the pub." Wow! The award is a huge honor for
our brewers, chef Charles Edson and his staff, and our happy/hustling
front-of-the-house crew. Mr. Lehndorff picks our jambalya with
andouille sausage and chicken as his favorite OB dish, come in and give
it a try. Congrats to Mountain Sun, Wynkoop,
Falling Rock, and the ballpark-area Breckenridge pub for also making
the Rocky's list.

Comedy Night at Oskar Blues
Wednesday April 11th 8pm
Join us for more laughs this month with two more great comedians from Comedy Works!
John Novosad, a.k.a. “Hippieman” has been performing stand-up, improv,
and sketch comedy for the past twenty years. Born and raised in
Boulder, CO, John was funny as a little kid, not funny as a teenager,
and then funny again as an adult. He has performed in numerous sketch
comedy shows including “N2O” and “Two Sets of Triplets”, and has
written a couple of screenplays, including Hippieman the Movie.
Opening the show for Hippieman will be comedian Tommy Y.
After graduating from Denver University with a degree in Hotel
Management Tommy thanked his parents for footing the bill by going into
comedy. In two short years, however, a whim became reality when he won
the Denver Comedy Work's coveted Miller-Lite Comedy Competition. since
then Tommy has opened for Jake Johannsen, Richard Jenni, and Dave
Chappelle, to name a few. His edgy act provides a running commentary on
life that is refreshinly unique and original.
